Coriolis — Support

A ballistics solver for long-range shooters. iOS.

Coriolis shows you its work. It carries a verification screen that compares its own output against published reference solutions, so you can see how closely it agrees before you trust a number in the field.

What it does

Coriolis computes a firing solution from the inputs you give it — your load, your conditions, your target — and produces a dope card you can read on the line. It works entirely offline.

Common questions

Mils or MOA?
Both. The app asks once and then speaks only that language — it does not mix units between fields. Mils is the default because it is what most competitors use. You can switch at any time, and anything you have already recorded keeps the unit you entered it in, converted for display rather than reinterpreted.
How accurate is it?
Coriolis agrees with standard reference software to roughly 1–1.5% over the ranges it is tested at. That comparison is what the verification screen shows you, with the reference cases named. It has not been validated against measured live-fire trajectories, and the app does not claim that it has.
Where do I get the ballistic coefficient for my ammunition?
You enter it yourself. Version 1.0 does not ship a bullet library and does not look numbers up online — both of those have consequences we would rather not pass on to you. The BC is usually on the manufacturer's website or in a load manual; it is rarely printed on the box.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Version 1.0 makes no network requests at all. See the privacy policy.
Does it use my location?
Not in version 1.0. Atmospheric and positional inputs are the ones you type.
Where is my data kept?
On your device, and nowhere else. Deleting the app deletes it.

Reporting a problem

If a solution looks wrong, the most useful thing you can send is the full set of inputs that produced it — load, muzzle velocity, atmospherics, range and the number you expected. That is enough to reproduce it exactly.
